How do LED lights work?
Wheel Loader LED Work Lights  is short for Light Emitting Diode, Chinese name "Light-emitting Diode"
It emits light in a similar way to a laser.
An electron in an atom has many energy levels. When an electron jumps from a higher energy level to a lower energy level, its energy is reduced, and the reduced energy is emitted as photons. A lot of these photons are lasers.
Leds work similarly. The difference, however, is that leds emit light not through electron jumps within atoms, but by applying a voltage to the two ends of the PN junction of the LED, causing the PN junction itself to form an energy level (in fact, a series of energy levels) on which electrons jump and produce photons.
The new LED display has the advantages of low power consumption, high brightness, long life, small size, etc. Starting from the development history of LED display, this paper discusses the development trend of surface mount LED, AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATION LED and lighting LED, which has certain reference value for Chinese engineers engaged in the development of display devices. The world's first commercial light-emitting diode (LED) was made of germanium in 1965 and costs $45 a unit.
In 1968, LED development made a breakthrough, using nitrogen doping process to GaAsP device efficiency of 1 lumen/watt, and can emit red, orange and yellow light. In 1971, GaP green bare LED with the same efficiency was introduced. In 1972 a small number of LED screens began to be used in clocks and calculators. The world's first LED watch was originally sold in expensive jewelry stores for a whopping $2,100. Around the same time, HP and Texas Instruments introduced calculators with seven-segment red LED displays. By the 1970s, LED prices were plummeting due to the widespread use of LEDS in home and office equipment. In fact, LEDS were the dominant digital and text display technology of their time. However, in many commercial devices, LED displays are also facing fierce competition from other display technologies, such as liquid crystal, plasma and vacuum fluorescent tube displays.
This competition has encouraged LED manufacturers to further expand their product types and actively seek applications where LEDS have a clear competitive advantage. Leds began to be used in text dot matrix displays, light grids for background patterns, and line graph arrays. Digital displays continue to grow in size and complexity, from two digits to three or even four digits, from seven digits to 14 or 16 digit arrays capable of displaying complex combinations of words and patterns. By 1980 manufacturers began offering smart dot matrix LED displays. This technological advance enables leds to be used for outdoor sports information dissemination and for the installation of stop lights (CHMSL) in the central high seats of automobiles. The invention of the bright blue LED made it possible to create true-color advertising displays capable of displaying true-color, full-motion video images.
The emergence of blue LED makes it possible to partially convert higher energy blue light into other colors by using reverse conversion phosphorescent materials. LED light sources alone now fully cover all saturated colors in the CIE chromaticity curve, and organic integration of leds of various colors with phosphorus can produce almost any color without limitation. In terms of reliability, an LED's half-life (the time it takes to reduce light output to half its original value) is somewhere between 10, 000 and 100, 000 hours. In contrast, the half-life of a compact indicator incandescent lamp (defined as the time when half the number of lamps fail) typically ranges from 100,000 to thousands of hours, depending on the lamp's rated operating current.
